A strong safety who likes to play close to the line of scrimmage, Tangen is a physical, big-hitting defensive back. He has a great combination of size and speed. That length and quickness allows him to get downhill fast when attacking the line of scrimmage. Those attributes also give him great range when he does play the deep safety position. Tangen is a big hitter who doesn’t make the big hit by flying into the play out of control. He is a solid tackler who can also get off blocks to still make plays.
