Stevens transferred to Edison from Servite and after sitting out the first half of the season, he had 63 tackles with 2.5 sacks for an Edison team that won a state championship.
He can be a defensive end who lines up head up on the tackle or be a 3-technique. Stevens is equally effective as a run stopper as he is a pass rusher. He has good lateral quickness, reads offenses well and can tackle anyone within arm’s distance of him. Stevens eats up double teams in the run game, doesn’t bite on screens and is a solid hand fighter.

Stevens got some playing time as a sophomore for Servite last season and had 18 tackles with a sack.
He has since transferred to Edison. Stevens is a rugby guy and you can tell he isn’t afraid to use his body to get into the offensive lineman’s chest and push him back.
As a pass rusher, he has a variety of moves with his hands and knows how to catch the offensive lineman leaning. He has a good foundation and time in the weight room will help him greatly.

Stevens is coming off a very impressive second season campaign for Servite, and is part of a very young overall team that should continue to make some noise this Fall and look to make another playoff run like they did this year. Stevens is a snappy inside player that gets off the ball quickly, shoots his hands and locks out while able to get off blocks with violence, eat up double teams and get into the backfield in a hurry. He shows block recognition, has quick pre-snap movement and uses his height to out leverage blockers while getting underneath them and creating immediate knock-back. He also shows strong pursuit to the ball and is a high motor kid that will have tons of Varsity experience heading into his Junior campaign.
