, a 6’3″, 310-pound defensive lineman from Groton School in Massachusetts, has boosted his recruiting profile. Primarily positioned as an inside defensive tackle, Nathan has showcased the ability to stun and shed blockers effectively, maintain gap integrity, and demonstrate impressive penetration.
In his highlight film from a 2025 season game against Brooks School, Nathan displayed strong on-contact performance, which exemplifies his potential at the next level. However, areas for improvement remain. His motor appears inconsistent at times, and he could benefit from developing faster hand techniques to enhance his play.
To further elevate his game, it is suggested that Nathan engage in position-specific training to refine his skills on the field. Additionally, continued focus in the weight room will bolster his overall strength, especially at the point of contact. If Nathan addresses these areas, he has the potential to emerge as one of the top prospects in the New England region for the 2027 class.

Ranking Update: #69 Overall, #14 DL – Class of 2026, New England
Nathan Whitted, a promising defensive lineman from Catholic Memorial High School, has solidified his position within the Top 100 recruits in New England. Earning a verbal offer from the University of Maine in January 2025 highlights his growing recognition. At 6’3″ and 298 lbs, Nathan possesses the ideal frame for an interior lineman, demonstrated by his explosive 8′ broad jump at the 2024 Prep Redzone Showcase. His work ethic and coachability shone through during positional drills, where he exhibited solid fundamentals and techniques. With continued strength training, Nathan will enhance his ability to defeat blocks at the line of scrimmage. As he progresses into the offseason, I anticipate a significant leap in his performance, further establishing him as a high college prospect. His upward trajectory in rankings is well-deserved, and I recommend keeping a keen eye on his development moving forward.

Nathan stood out to me as one of the top DL. His measurables are verified at 6’3″, 297 lbs.
Nathan is a big framed, interior DL. He showed his explosiveness by jumping 8′ in the broad jump.
Throughout the showcase Nathan appeared as a hard working prospect who is coachable. He was put to the test during positional drills and prevailed. Nathan showed good fundamentals and techniques.
With another offseason under his belt, Whitted is going to get stronger which is only going to help him improve defeating blocks at the line of scrimmage. I expect Nathan to take a big jump and solidify himself as a college prospect.

Film Review Notes: Very good film to review. Has a solid get off with decent first step quickness and explosiveness. Makes excellent use of his hands when bull rushing. He uses different techniques/moves to beat the block. Has good solid frame to be a inside 1st level run defender. He uses excellent leverage to read and react to ball carrier. He will be added to our class of 2026 rankings during the next rankings update period.
