Nate Shields Nate Shields 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Trinity | 2026 State KY played a key role in Trinity’s 6A state title run this season. He lined up at left tackle where he proved to be a very effective run blocker. Shields explodes out of his stance and does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man down the field with ease. He has also shown the ability to get to the second level with a sense of urgency then pick up blocks in the open field. Shields holds multiple Division I offers and I can see him being a very reliable offensive lineman at the next level.

Shields is a dominant force as a run blocker, showing the ability to drive his man several yards down the field and finish with a ton of physicality, often resulting in a pancake block. He is also very reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to keep a strong base while absorbing contact, not allowing for easy penetration into the pocket. Shields currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect that list to continue to grow during his senior year.

He lined up mainly at left tackle this past season but has shown the versatility to play inside at guard as well. Shields is a true mauler in the run game, exploding out of his stance then driving his man down the field through the whistle. He finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Shields is also reliable in pass protection, keeping a strong base while absorbing contact, not allowing for my penetration into the pocket. Nate currently holds offers from Butler, Southern Mississippi, and Southeast Missouri State, and I expect more to come his way going into his senior season.
