He is strong enough to run through arm tackles and showcases plus elusiveness that contributed to his monster junior season. He also has the breakaway speed that makes him nearly impossible to catch once he hits the open field. As the only junior to earn IHSFCA 6A All-State Honors, Mitchell enters next season as one of the top running backs in the Land of Lincoln.

So much so that he is able to make big plays any way he wants to. His quick twitch athleticism allows him to cut on a dime and then burst to top speed to make defenders miss and then leave them in the dust. Mitchell will also simply run right through tackle attempts, piling up the yards after contact. Myles is a talented back with a wide array of next level traits. They will need a big game out of him this week.

The Oak Lawn native impressed in his sophomore season for Richards High School. Mitchell is a 5’10, 190 lbs running back/athlete who showcases next-level vision and balance that makes him an elite prospect. Mitchell is as shifty as it gets. Using an old football term, Mitchell is hard to tackle in a phone both. He can put his foot in the ground and change direction with ease, making it nearly impossible for one defender to tackle him in the open field. Additionally, Mitchell is incredibly impressive in the pass game, as he showcases soft hands on release routes and screens. Long story short, Mitchell is a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball. Heading into his junior season, Mitchell’s stock is rising quickly.

Mr. Mitchell is a young man that got on my radar last season and he’s picking up where he left off. Turn on the first clip in the highlights below and you’ll see why he has such  high potential as such a young age. His ability to continue to fight through the whistle by keeping his feet driving and using his elusiveness to make defenders miss in open space are one’s to keep a close eye on. What stands out the most is his foot quicks that he has paired with his vision. Here, he can either hit the hole hard breaking through and gain a step on 2nd level defenders to pick up the first down or he can find the cutback lane where he can then turn the corner to break a long run. Not to mention he has the ability to be used in the screen game as he can get vertical once he secures the screen and read his blocks in open space to pick up chunk yards on the play.
