Mikey played well as a Freshman in 2023. He plays as a MLB and OLB. Against the pass, he drops back quickly in coverage while reading the QB and shows very good awareness in zone. He quickly locates the ball and shows excellent hands as he comes down with an interception. Against the run, he shows great football intelligence as he quickly reads the play. He accelerates quickly in pursuit before delivering a big hit preventing a gain of significant yardage. He plays with very good mental toughness as he elevates his play in the redzone.
