The left-handed, dual-threat QB from Hopewell is a name you need to know if you have not heard of him before. A playmaker with his arm and feet, Mic’Kahari is poised for a big season this fall. He displays good accuracy on all levels of the field, with a strong arm to fit the ball into tight windows. Elite pocket mobility to extend the play, keeping his eyes downfield to find the open receiver. When his receivers are covered, he will beat you with his feet, and if the defense comes up to prevent him from running, he will beat you with his arm.

Tatum is expected to make his college commitment soon and with Layne announcing his plans to enroll at Army, you probably can scratch the Black Knights off his list. I remain steadfast in my praise of his work he is a FBS level talent. While UMASS and UNC Pembroke are the presumed favorites to obtain him, I would not be surprised if another school gets into the mix.

Hopewell’s star Mic’Kahari Tatum Mic’Kahari Tatum 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Hopewell | 2025 State VA has been on my radar for the past year and now he is on the radar of many FBS level schools. Just recently picking up another offer from Army, Tatum is a surefire talent that cannot be ignored. Here is what I wrote about his play back in March:

Not too far removed from his first Division 1 offer, Hopewell quarterback/safety Mic’Kahari Tatum Mic’Kahari Tatum 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Hopewell | 2025 State VA ‘s stock is rising very rapidly. A lefty passer who makes every throw effortless and to add he is a ball hawking safety. Tatum is very impressive on both sides of the football, but I really think he will be a quarterback at the FBS level when all is said and done. The way he slings it and scrambles on the run I had to do a double take watching his film because I thought he was Mike Vick 2.0. Working vigorously off the field the young man is getting notice from many FCS schools, which is well deserved. To put it bluntly he should be a division 1 qb.
