Purgett contributed to the West Monona’s cause in three phases as a sophomore this fall. He completed both of his passes for 54 yards, and rushed for 52 yards (4.7 YPC) and two touchdowns. On defense, he produced 42.0 tackles, 34 of which were solo stops. Purgett picked off four passes and recovered a fumble. He averaged 13.4 yards on five kick returns.
