Bishop Diego defensive lineman Mays Pese Mays Pese 6'3" | 275 lbs | DL Bishop Garcia Diego | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Cal on June 16.
Pese led Bishop Diego with 63 tackles, six for a loss, one sack, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal last season.
He chose Cal over 13 other schools that offered him including Arizona, Michigan State and Washington State among others.
Pese is one of six players from California in Cal’s 2025 recruiting class.

You can tell that Pese puts in work on the sleds because he extends his arms and gets a punch right out of his first step.
He has a solid mix of speed and power moves and always moves his legs through contact. He does a great job of reading the offensive lineman and if he catches him leaning, he will pull him forward and make him fall on his face.
Pese is still looking for his first offer but has been active on the camp circuit this offseason.
