About Maxwell
Expert Analysis
Chad Graham | Prep Redzone Scout
Overview: Viddy is a smooth route runner on one side of the ball and a playmaker in the secondary on the other side. He uses his speed to separate off the line of scrimmage and/or jumps over defenders to separate at the catch-point. As a result, he gets most of his targets deep over the middle or down the sideline. At corner, Viddy shifts between off-man and zone coverage where he can read and react. His ball skills are the exact same at safety, with the adage that he showcases more of his tackling ability versus the run. Viddy projects as a Z receiver who can stretch the field or a defensive back with positional flexibility. Offer: WVSU

Maxwell Viddy Maxwell Viddy 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Caesar Rodney (DE) | 2026 MD is a well-rounded wide receiver with a nice combination of size, ball skills, and route-running polish. At 6-2, 185 pounds, he brings a physical presence to the outside and uses his frame effectively, particularly in contested situations. Viddy is effective as both a possession receiver and a capable deep threat. His smooth stride helps him close the cushion against defensive backs quickly. While he may not have top-end burner speed, he consistently finds ways to get behind coverage. There are plays like his 67-yard touchdown catch and multiple deep sidelines catches in his highlights that showcase that ability.
One of Viddy’s standout traits is his toughness at the catch point. He’s not afraid to go across the middle or elevate in traffic. Viddy is also a good route-runner against both man and zone coverage. He knows how to stem defenders and create space. Viddy’s physicality shows up after the catch, too, and he can break tackles and pick up extra yardage. The main area for improvement lies in his overall speed and suddenness.
