About Maxwell

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As an offensive lineman, I pride myself on my solid fundamentals and technique. I focus on my footwork to stay balanced while engaging defenders. My goal is to create space for our running game and provide a strong pocket for our quarterback. Which I did this year, my running back rushed for over 1000 yards this season.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m committed to improving my strength and agility through dedicated training, and I always strive to support my teammates, emphasizing communication and teamwork on every play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play other sports and train in the off season to stay active and keep close to my friends that don’t play football. I’m a captain in the gym for morning lift.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I mentored kids with Down Syndrome at Buddy Up Tennis program, which was insightful and fun at the same time.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being brought up to varsity as a sophomore was a challenge because the game moved a lot faster than I was used to. Need to learn and adjust quickly was key to my success. Going against D linemen who have committed to play D1 football taught me a lot.

What type of college are you looking for?

Important to me would be the coaching staff, campus culture, opportunities for playing time and team culture.

Let me be one of the first to tell you… Neuqua Valley’s Maxwell Schueneman Maxwell Schueneman Maxwell Schueneman 6'6" | 310 lbs | OL/DL Neuqua Valley | 2027 State IL is coming! Maxwell was one of the top linemen prospects in attendance, showing a great blend of size, physicality, and mobility. At 6’4″ and 330 pounds, Maxwell already has the size that projects well to the collegiate level, while also having the lengthy reach that coaches covet. Maxwell impressed with his footwork and ability to slide and mirror defenders while also having the power in his base to anchor down and stonewall both speed and power rushers. Good, strong hands that can deliver a powerful punch at the point of attack. Schueneman also displayed consistent pad level and hip bend throughout his reps. Won’t be long before coaches are extending offers to the Neuqua Valley prospect.
