About Matthew
Expert Analysis
Hudson Cregg | Prep Redzone Scout
Matthew is a true 6’6 at quarterback; he towers over everyone on the field. One of my favorite players in the state, coming off a win where he threw the ball 48 times for over 350 yards and three total touchdowns. He’s coming into week seven very hot and ready for Ravenwood on Friday night. He is committed to Murray State, and I fully expect him to be an early contributor. True arm talent with good accuracy on all levels of the field. An area of his game that needs improvement is progressing through his reads; there are too many times when he knows where he is going with the football before he even throws it. This will lead to picks in college if not improved upon. For durability concerns, Horner will need to gain at least 10 to 15 pounds. Watch out for a pass-heavy game against Ravenwood.
