About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with strength, discipline, and a team-first mindset. I’m versatile on both the defensive and offensive line, quick to learn plays, and always focused on doing my job to help the team succeed. My style is physical, relentless, and dependable in any position I’m asked to play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a disciplined, hard-working mentality and push myself to be the best I can be in everything I do. I’m team-oriented, always motivating my teammates, coachable, and committed to leading by example both on and off the field. I take pride in balancing academics, athletics, and community service with focus and determination. My hashtag is #relentless as that is core to who I am.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been involved in many clubs and organizations outside of athletics, including the Mountain Lions Cycling Club Team, Competition Trap League, Volleyball Club, Swim League, and my school’s Student Government Association where I serve on the social media team. I also received the Scholar Athlete Award, which recognizes students who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher during their sports season.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football and wrestling, I’ve developed strong leadership skills, including serving as JV Team Football Captain as a freshman and being Rookie of the Year for my Varsity year of Wrestling. Being part of multiple sports and clubs has taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and encouraging others to succeed. Outside of athletics, I’ve participated in many service projects.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I faced was starting at a new school as a freshman. At first, I thought it would be difficult to adjust, but I quickly got involved in sports, clubs, and other activities that helped me build a new community of friends and peers. This experience taught me resilience, the importance of stepping outside my comfort zone, and how being proactive can turn challenges into opportunities.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to be part of a college that has a vibrant culture, where the football program feels like family and academics are taken seriously. I value a school that will challenge me both on the field and in the classroom, and one that offers the support to help me grow into the best version of myself.

Mason made his commitment to the Air Force this past week and they are getting an OL prospect that fits perfectly. A big long lean build player, he is the type of athletic OL player the Air Force like to get to mold into their style. With good bend and pop off the line, he is quick to get his feet moving and pull or get out in space. A heavy weight wrestler, Mason shows great leverage and power from his hips. A high academic kid as well, Mason fits the mold for the Air Force both on & off the field. I would not be surprised to see Mason being an impact starter for them in the future.
