is another player who stood out to me as a sophomore. He showed impressive versatility, lining up at both inside and outside linebacker throughout the season. Wright was very impressive against the run, showing the ability to read the play then use his speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle. He finished this past season with 51 tackles. Mason also showed the ability to make plays against the pass both as a rusher and in coverage. He finished this past year with six sacks and one interception. Mason has received some college interest and he should be a player to continue to watch over the next couple seasons.

is an underrated two-sport athlete out of Park Hill South. He has attended several camps, and I am excited to see who will be the first to offer the good-sized linebacker this year. Mason’s quickness and awareness in pass coverage shows quickly identifying and disrupting screen passes in zone coverage. Flashes of nex level power shows in the contact Mason delivers when making tackles or shedding blocks. Good size, upper-body strength, instincts and athleticism highlights Mason’s potential to be a true middle linebacker in college.
