Hollingsworth has long been one of my favorite sleeper RBs in Georgia. For much of the regular season, Hollingsworth was one of the top rushing leaders in Georgia, and did it despite little recruiting buzz. Hollingsworth is tall, lean, and has plenty of room to fill out. He is a leggy player with impressive vision and shiftiness in the short areas. He is slippery in space and hard to get wrapped as a result. I always thought he would at least end up with a D1 PWO opportunity, but looks like he will get a crack at the small school level and get a chance to prove himself there.

Mason Hollingsworth (Whitefield Academy) has contributed each year on varsity, improving each year before his ultimate explosion as one of the most productive players in GA this fall.
Hollingsworth is tall and lean with the ability to create his own yards with subtle shifts and change of direction. His competition had trouble catching him when he broke free.
He projects out as a dynamic size-speed threat at the RB position and should carry his best ball with him to the college ranks.

Hollingsworth is off to an explosive start to his senior season. He caught my eye last offseason. Here is my most recent write up from week 2 of this season:
“ Mason Hollingsworth Mason Hollingsworth 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Whitefield Academy | 2026 State GA exploded in week 2 with 21-276-5 in just 3 quarters of work. Hollingsworth is a tall, lean, leggy prospect with a lot of body left to grow into. He is built more like a receiver or corner than an RB. His vision is impressive and relies on subtle shifts into new running lanes to create his own yards. He isn’t a bruiser, but he is slippery and squeaks out of tackling attempts. I love the upside here, and his explosion last week should have grabbed the attention of college coaches.”

A speedy, elusive back in metro-Atlanta running wild to start his senior season, Hollingsworth has been unstoppable through the first four games of his senior season, rushing for 821 yards and 13 touchdowns. The quick, shifty Cobb County native is averaging 9 yards per carry and 205 yards per game. He ran for 275 yards and five touchdowns against Mt. Veron in week two and did the same in week four against Darlington where he took off for 259 yards and four touchdowns. He can take over a game and is flashing easy Power Four potential. Look for him to see a rankings boost in the next Prep Redzone update.

One of the state’s leading rushers through the first two weeks, Hollingsworth was a touchdown machine in week two, rushing for five touchdowns and 275 yards during a big win over Mount Vernon. He showed terrific change of direction, elusiveness, and breakaway speed in the open field. He’s a slipper back who runs with balance and has a lean frame that should allow him to keep adding more muscle. Through his first two games, the Atlanta native has rushed foe 390 yards and five touchdowns. He’s one of the more underrated backs in the city but has a chance to be one of the most productive by the end of the season.

An impressive back outside of Atlanta with quick feet, burst, and breakaway speed, Hollingsworth is fresh off a strong junior season where he lit up the state sheet for 1,214 yards and 14 touchdowns. He ran for at least 100 yards in seven games and rushed for at least one touchdown in every game but three. His biggest game came against Landmark Christian where he rushed for 209 yards and one touchdown. He shows impressive agility but also runs hard at 6-foot-0 175-pounds. He shows D1-caliber talent and should run wild as a senior in 2025.
