About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Gameplay style is cerebral, aggressive, and doing/playing anywhere on the offensive line to allow my team to be the best. My best position is OT but I played a lot of guard when called upon during my sophomore season. I expect to be the starting Left OT when camp opens.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would like to think I'm very intelligent, patient, and have a calm personality. I take advanced HS courses at Riverside and really do not allow things to upset me. When I step on the field I turn into a different person.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm a two sport athlete currently playing on the JV basketball team. I'm part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Beta Club. I hope to be part of National Honor Society during my junior year. I'm looking to find maybe two or three more clubs and organizations to join.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I pride myself on being the most intelligent person on the line, understanding everyone's responsibilities and able to communicate this to my teammates. I also take pride in my roll on the basketball floor as willing to do the dirty work when needed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family has moved several times so I've had to adapt quickly to school and finding/building new relationships. I also went from being a very slender/quick young soccer player to growing into a strong, big, athletic offensive lineman. I'm still maturing and have a lot of growing still to do.

What type of college are you looking for?

My father works at in higher education, so he really wants me to set the bar as high as I can. I want an opportunity to play college football at the highest level but at an institution where I can have the ability to also focus on my studies. I'm interested in Business/Finance and would like to be at a program with a top level College of Business or International Business.
