About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a QB Mason runs like a freight train and can hit a 45 yard dot. As a DE Mason is a real game changer. Offenses will change their game plan and run away from Mason. 6x state place winner in NJ state wrestling championships and a ball hawk on D. Sure tackler with man strength.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Always willing to put in work, always trying to improve and there are no days off. There is no shortcut - you have to earn it. Student athlete with straight A’s.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volunteer at the USO Helps coach younger wrestlers at wrestling club. 5th year as captain on football team Participate in community cleanup for my town. As a leader I assume responsibility and own my mistakes. I lift up others and stand up for the little guy.

What type of college are you looking for?

At risk of sounding cliche - an Ohio State/Ga type college. Ultimately I will be an orthopedic surgeon once my academic/athletic career is finished.

  • Gloucester County native.
  • Served as QB1 for a Deslea this season, as the Knights finished with a record of 4-5 and finished in seventh-place in the Northern Conference of the TCUFL.
  • This Knights didn’t have the fire power or surrounding cast of athletes that other teams in the league had, but they were a gritty, throwback team. Caveng’s play at Quarterback was the personification of this, as he gutted out a lot of tough yards on the ground despite being key’d on. A strong, thick dual-threat kid who made the most his eighth-grade year.
