Caturegli has been one of the most prolific rushers across the bay area in recent memory and is having a great senior season so far for the Mustangs. He is an elite receiver out of the backfield and has a nose for the end-zone with vision and cutback abilities in the hole and open field speed in the clear. He has put together a stellar career so far and won two state titles while being one of the more prolific rushers across the section for the past two seasons. So far this year he has rushed for 800+ yards and 300+ receiving in only 8 games played and should make a strong post season run for the Mustangs in the coming weeks. His commitment and signing will be one to note across the bay area as we get closer to national signing day next month.

Caturegli seems to be a mainstay on these top performer reports coming out every week, and deservingly so. He has been dominant during his senior season for the Mustangs on both sides of the ball and seems to control and take over big games week in and week out. Saturday afternoon against Rancho Cotate was no different as Caturegli rushed for 167 yards and 4 touchdowns while also making plenty of tackles and PBU’s on the defensive side of the ball as well from his safety position. Caturegli is having a historic season and should be primed for another late post-season run for the Mustangs as they gear up for possibly more football to be played come December.

Caturegli is continuing on his way to having one of the more dominating senior seasons of any player across the northern California region and has been racking up both the touchdowns and rushing yards week in and week out. He impacts the game in all three phases and is one of the best available players across the region. Up in Humboldt county on Saturday night the state champion clash of both schools resulted in Caturegli rushing for 292 yards and 3 scores, while tacking on another receiving while adding 13 tackles, 2TFL’s and a sack on defense.

Caturegli is one of the top two-way players across the entire Bay Area, and put on a show in week 1 of the NCS season. He got off to a hot start taking back the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and exploded offensively from there. He ended the day with 10 tackles, 1 sack, 300 all-purpose yards and 5 scores in a small school battle against Woodland Christian which the Mustangs narrowly won. Look for Caturegli to have another big performance next Friday night in a North Bay showdown against American Canyon.

One of the more decorated rushers returning across the North Coast Section, Caturegli has had a very busy off-season and recently picked up offers from Western Oregon and Whitworth and was offered by Sac State and Portland State earlier this Spring. He is closing in on some big time NCS records as he heads into the Fall and will be part of a heavy rushing attack deployed by the Mustangs this year. He is a impact player in all three phases of the game and one of the more smooth athletes we have seen, showing good pass catching/return abilities and has elite quickness, fluidity with the ball in his hands and contact balance through traffic. Look for Caturegli to go well over the 1,000+ rushing yard marker this year.

Recent Offers: Carroll College
Notes: The two-time state champion two-way standout for the Mustangs recently picked up a new offer from Carroll College from the Frontier Conference and is poised to have another potentially record-breaking season. Caturegli is closing in on some big career records that have been in place for quite some time, and could break them through this Fall. Expect another late post-season run for the small school power lead by the 4-year starter in 2025.

Caturegli is coming off a 2,000 yard performance in his junior season for the 4-AA State Champions, and is one of the top running backs across the Bay Area. Recently picking up offers from Portland State and Sacramento State, he should continue seeing his stock rise through the summer and find plenty of success on the camp circuit. Caturegli checks into our most recent updated rankings as a top 30 ATH and just outside the top 250 overall across California.

Caturegli is one of the more productive backs across the entire northern California region and the 2,000+ APY returner from last season has had a busy spring, picking up offers from Portland State and Sacramento State earlier last month. He is a prospect that should draw plenty of attention on the camp circuit, and is one of the top returning players across the Redwood Empire this Fall and should have another stellar season in 2025.

Caturegli is a highly productive back with the versatility to impact the game in a variety of ways. With excellent vision, spatial awareness, and footwork he’s able to read his blocks well and create running lanes. Displays good patience to allow the play to develop but also shows good awareness of when to attack an open gap with speed. Quick and sudden cut ability allows him to make the first defender miss at the LOS and then accelerates out to work to space. Does a good job planting his foot in the ground and getting north/south without hesitation. Once in space, he’s got deceptive long speed to extend gains and finish carries in the endzone. Scored a rushing touchdown in every game last season finishing with 28 to lead St. Vincent to a state championship. Also shows good hands and route running ability out of the backfield. Racked up nearly 2,000 yards of total offense as a junior and earned his initial college offer from Sacramento State.
