Cartwright is one of the biggest hitters in Northern California, and is a true plug in the middle of the Sutter defense that can cover a ton of ground in space and is a sure tackler in the box. Due to his size, range and athletic ability while a very balanced linebacker, it would not be surprising if he ends up at the FCS level by the time signing day comes around, but he has recently picked up his first couple offers from the D3 level. Lewis and Clark and Grinnell College have both offered Cartwright, and he should see a slew of other D3+ offers come his way as he moves through his Senior season for Sutter Union.
