wasn’t deterred from mixing it up with opposing defensive lineman. Getting out and running in space with a head of steam, Vorwald is a force to be reckoned with as a blocker. With quick foot speed and the ability to pave the way for ball-carriers, Vorwald has a ton of potential yet to be unlocked.
Also deceptively strong with a lower half that allows him to drive, drive, drive back opposing DL, Vorwald gets up and under the pads of his assigned down man and plays with a high motor that makes for a long night if you’re matched up with him in the trenches.
A second-team all-district pick as a West Delaware junior in 2025, Vorwald confirmed his athleticism as an offensive lineman in reaching the quarterfinals at 3A state wrestling this winter. He was the district runner-up. Vorwald’s strengths on the wrestling mat translate well to the football field. He operates with balance, flashes smooth footwork, plays with violent hands and keeps the pads low with optimal leverage. Vorwald illustrates how he gets the job done during his 11th-grade highlight video. Lining up at left tackle, he gets off of the snap very quickly and controls the opponent with his hands right away. Understanding angles, Vorwald does a nice job sealing the guy across from him out of plays. He drives through the chest well and finishes fast. Vorwald has a projectable frame capable of adding plenty of good weight in a college strength and conditioning program.
