It was a tough season for Greenville this year, but there’s no doubt Deering was a bright spot who ran wild at times during the regular season. He’s a big, powerful back who can power through defenders with ease with enough speed to score from anywhere on the field. He ran for a combined 1,667 yards and 12 touchdowns this fall, hitting the 100-yard mark six times. He ran for at least 200 yards in four games and ran for an eye-opening 300+ yards in two games. He absolutely deserves to be added to the latest rankings update, now coming in as the No. 30 RB prospect in the state for his class.
