About Markous

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

With my size, I am a versatile and physical offensive lineman in the class of 2028. I believe I bring a rare combination of size, strength, and mobility to the line of scrimmage. As a fulltime starter on the OL/DL as a sophomore I believe I have the technique, footwork, and ability to finish blocks in both run and pass that will allow me to be successful in any system.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the OL I would describe my play as disciplined and physical. As a sophomore I was relied on to make our OL calls at the OG position. I take great pride in being a leader in our OL room.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active participant in our Student Council as the Sophomore Class President and FFA. I have been identified as a top performing student in in math and science. As a participant within our FFA program, I have been recognized for effective public speaking. In the community, I am an active member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene Youth Group.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through athletics and academic programs at Shenandoah, I have had the opportunity to serve as a mentor for younger athletes and students through my volunteer work at our elementary camps. In the community I have volunteered to support our Legacy Prom and other activities for our community's special needs population.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Growing as quick as I did when I was younger I really had to learn to "trust the process" as my athleticism developed. I have put in hours of work in the gym, with personal trainers, and on the field to build the confidence I now have to go out and perform.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am really not sure what type of campus I am looking for at this time. I'm looking forward to using this summer to get on as many campuses I can to see what fits me best.

Markous Miller out of Shenandoah is still a raw player and still developing into his own as a prospect, but if he keeps working on his fundamentals and technique, the sky is the limit. Miller is a strong run blocker who can really drive his feet to create vertical push; during last Saturday’s camp he displayed a solid lateral set with ability to mirror rushers and keep them between his feet. I truly think with more seasoning he could develop into one of the top Class of 2028 prospects.

Shenandoah High School offensive tackle Markous Miller Markous Miller Markous Miller 6'8" | 315 lbs | OL/DL Shenandoah | 2028 IN has tremendous potential. The Class of 2028 recruit has a big, 6-foot-8. 315-pound frame, but moves really well for his size. Miller is a good puller who can shoot through the line-of-scrimmage, find second-level linebackers and take them for a ride. Miller displays good use-of-hands, plays with good discipline and under control, and has played both guard and tackle. Frame cannot be coached and will be a big sticking point for college coaches.
