Moore (Wisco Elite) was a big-time field stretcher. He had good releases and when he was given vertical routes, he had a whole other gear where he would simply run past defenders. In the open field he’s a guy who is able to stop and start on a dime.

When it comes to the ability to mirror/match movements there isn’t a better athlete to copy our game after than

. Marion has an outstanding blend of instincts, recognition, and physical tools to be able to react and stay in position to make plays in coverage. Marion’s quick feet, loose hips, and ability to change direction and burst are elite. Give our DB those traits and you will be able to line him up anywhere and in any type of coverage. The physical tools are so impressive and make it seem like he almost knows what is coming. NDSU has a good one coming to campus.

Stats: 1 KO Return TD, 1 Receiving TD, 1 INT
Marion was the walking big play threat that I was expecting coming into this game. He made a big impact in all three phases of the game showing versatility, a high football IQ, and superior athletic gifts. At the catch point I was blown away by Marion. He attacks the ball in the air, has soft hands to make every catch/INT, and also showed strong hands to fight through contact to secure the catch. The NDSU commit’s fluid movement and agility looked effortless as he easily stayed in the pocket of his WR, and the Middleton offense were smart to not test him much in coverage. When they did he made them pay. Moore was a mismatch all night long and proved to be one of the most talented players in the WI Class of 2025.

of Madison Memorial. The CB is coming off an elite summer camp cycle that garnered him a ton of offers before committing to the NDSU Bison. Marion is also coming off a 4 INT season in 2023. I’m calling Marion a darkhorse pick because the incoming senior may not get a lot of chances at making INTs. QBs will have to be feeling bold to target him often. Marion has excellent reactive athleticism, quick twitch agility, and speed to run with any WR in WI. He has excellent ball skills to capitalize on his ability to stay tight on his man too. If QBs give him the chance, I believe Marion will have a great chance of being one of the state’s leaders in INTs when the season ends.

. If there is one thing I know about the Spartans being a Madison native, is that for years they have been a hotbed for the defensive back position especially with Tyrone Braxton and Jordan Fredrick, and into my days with Prep Redzone, Anthony Ward who was a favorite Spartans defensive back of mine back in 2020 and 2021 and now

is next up amongst that stellar list of Spartans defensive backs. I was a massive fan of Marion’s character from the start as you can tell this kid will light up the room with his demeanor with his teammates and has team-leader capabilities I could gauge. From a technique perspective, I and our Head Wisconsin Scout, Mark Johnson thought

was the most savvy with his pad-level, ball-tracking ability, vision, instincts, and much more which is why he took home the hardware of our DB MVP. He also is extremely agile, and can press down the gas pedal in the opposite direction with his lower body dexterity. Marion also shows off excellent position angles as his football IQ shows off a prospect that is precisely in the right spot at the right time a high percentage of the time. If I were a recruiter, I would offer this young man right now as he is a damaging athlete on both sides of the ball that fits perfectly at cornerback at the next-level, but has the position flexibility too.

stepped up and shined. It was right from the start too. Marion jumped out of the gym with a 9’9″ and 9’10” broad jump. In the drill work we got a glimpse of what was to come in one on one battles. Marion has the quick twitch reactive athleticism needed to stay in the pocket of WRs as they go through route breaks. Moore has very quick feet, hips, and a burst that all help him shine in short areas. Marion also has the speed to play downfield and far beyond the breaks in routes. The junior showed ball skills with timely and accurate hand placement to break up passes. We were already a big fan of Marion coming into the event, and he only impressed us more. Definitely a name to know.

. The 5’11” 170 lbs athlete checks off a lot of boxes that you look for in a DB. His feet are very quick as are his hips. That allows him to be able to play man coverage and be able to turn and run deep with receivers. He can also change directions with next level acceleration out of his breaks. No question he has the reactive athleticism for the next level. The junior is also an opportunistic athlete with the ball skills to be able to create turnovers and or break up passes. Last, Moore has the range to be able to cover a deep zone. Get ready for Marion to prove he is a lock down athlete starting next week.
