out of the state of New Jersey in the 2030 class! Yes, I said it, the 2030 class! Young is an extremely polished and poised running back who shows patience and vision yet hits the hole at the line of scrimmage as hard as any back I have seen and once, he’s in the open field it’s over for defenses, Young is gone down field for a quick six! He’s a terrific player in the 2030 class and is a beast on the gridiron!

stands out for both his physical development and his polished play on the field.
Vision and decision making are key traits for a successful running back. Marcus can identify lanes quickly, make sharp cuts, and get downhill without hesitation. His speed gives him the option to bounce runs to the outside when the middle is clogged, and once he finds space, Marcus can accelerate into another gear that leaves defenders trailing.
Equally impressive is Young’s fluid change of direction paired with a physical edge that shows when he lowers his shoulder and finishes runs with authority. Altogether, Marcus combines versatility, speed, and toughness; an offensive weapon with the ability to shift the momentum of a game at any moment.

is showing a level of development that puts him well ahead of the typical 2030 prospect. Built with impressive strength, he regularly shrugs off defenders and powers through contact with ease. His vision and speed allow him to spot lanes across the field and make smooth, decisive cuts that keep defenses guessing. Whether he’s lowering his shoulder in traffic or turning on the jets in open space, he’s a constant threat to break free.
What makes Marcus even more dangerous is his ability to bounce outside and explode down the sideline—often untouched. He’s not afraid to take on any defender in a foot race, and more often than not, he wins it. Marcus’ ability to shift gears and pull away from defenders shows just how high his ceiling is. This is a player who’s been grinding all offseason, and it’s clear the work is paying off. The future is bright for this standout back.

- Camden County native
I haven’t even come close to starting my deep dive on this 2030 class yet, but at this (early) point, I’m going to have to see some impressive film to make me change my mind on who the best 2030 RB from Camden County is. The nephew of Albert Young, who ranks third All-Time for rushing yards at the University of Iowa,

is a chip off the old block. With unmatched explosion and strength out of the backfield, Young was named Eastern’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2024 and is one the most elite players in the Tri-County United Football League.
