About Marcus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am focused and driven, reading the defense well. I have a strong arm that has been recognized by multiple high school and college coaches. I only play as good as my team does, this is a team game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am quiet but confident. When I get zoned in on the game I don’t notice anything else going on off the field. I try to always be the leader my team needs as a QB.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

All City Champions, Football 2023

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, teamwork, patience

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was 5th-7th grade I hadn’t grown yet and was shorter. I got overlooked as a QB because of my height but I had the skill. This didn’t stop me, I kept working and pushing harder and it has made me a better player today.

What type of college are you looking for?

D1 or D2. A good supportive community presence. Somewhere I can be proud to play for.

The Parkview Vikings could very well be the most improved team in SWMO going into the 25-26 football season, the Vikings roster is stacked in all areas but particularly their QB room is one to marvel at. Marcus Grube Marcus Grube Marcus Grube 5'11" | 165 lbs | QB Parkview | 2028 MO and Willie Otto are both looking to put up big numbers in 2025. Grube has had a great summer off season and has proved that he has a very, very bright future ahead of him. Grube is only a sophomore, and he has more than held his own against much older Quarterbacks in college prospect camps.

Grube throws with precision, and pace that you usually don’t see with a young signal caller. He hits hit attended receivers in stride and is never afraid to hang tough in the pocket and deliver passes under pressure.

Admittedly I’m not sure how the Vikings attend to use Otto and Grube in the offense, but I’m definitely intrigued with Grube’s abilities going forward.
