Another steal in the Class of 2025 is the 6’4″ 170 lbs QB out of ashwaubenon. MacGrath finished 2024 with 2,402 yards and 21 passing TDs. The pocket passer was in his second year as a varsity starter in 2024 and the leap he made in production along with his physical development is great. He improved his TD:INT ration from 5:11 to 21:5 in 2024. Malcolm also improved his completion percentage and more than doubled his yards while playing just one more game. The senior was aggressive too. He could push the ball downfield with solid velocity. On the short-intermediate levels he can fire it into small windows. Most important of all, the senior QB is accurate. He completed 60% on the year while averaging almost 9 yds/att. Get this kid on campus, get him in the weight room, and let him keep developing. You will be very happy with how he ends his career with you.

Malcolm is an under the radar QB who is doing his best to climb the rankings with what he has done early in the season. Statistically speaking, Malcolm is completing 66% of his passes while throwing 21 attempts a game on average. It isn’t dink and dunk passes either. The senior is averaging 258 yards/game thanks to his ability to push the ball 40+ yards downfield accurately. MacGrath is showing impressive touch and ball placement to every level of the field through the first three weeks. He is also a smart decision maker, highlighted by his 8 TDs compared to 0 INTs through 3 games. Malcolm has a great frame, production, and ball placement. More eyes need to get on him.

Malcolm looks like he is next up at the helm of the Ashwaubenon offense. The 6’3″ 155 lbs QB stood out at the Prep Redzone WI Winter Showcase. That is where I got to take a look at his over the top throwing motion, solid arm strength, and reliable accuracy. His traits helped him earn a spot as one of the top performers from the Showcase.
The void left behind by Central Michigan Baseball commit Boone Kirst Boone Kirst 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Ashwaubenon | 2023 State WI will give Malcolm plenty of chances to standout and show off his talents. Last season, Boone threw for 166/266, 1,930 yards, and 19 TDs. Keep an eye out for what Malcolm does under the lights this fall as a junior. It could put him in position to be firmly on the radar of next level programs.

A QB that could be due for a breakout year in 2023 is the sophomore out of Ashwaubenon. The 6’3″ 150 lbs QB needs to fill out his frame to ensure he can handle the rigors of a full season of varsity football, but his performance on Saturday had me making sure I keep track of his performance next Fall.
The sophomore has very long limbs that were able to whip the ball down the field. Malcolm has solid body control and looks comfortable and natural throwing the ball. He has a solid throwing motion that goes up and over. That will protect his passes from any risk of being batted down. MacGrath also demonstrated solid ball placement throughout the day. As he sharpens his footwork and hones the connection between his feet and upper body Malcolm will have the chance to develop into a name to know by his senior season. Look for him to get a shot at the varsity job this fall.
