La Quinta defensive back Major Hinchen Major Hinchen Major Hinchen 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB La Quinta-La Quinta | 2026 State CA announced his commitment to Utah on Monday.

Hinchen had two interceptions and a forced fumble for La Quinta last season.

He chose Utah over Cal, Missouri, Nebraska and Washington State among others who also offered him.

Hinchen is the first player from California in Utah’s 2026 recruiting class.
