Expert Analysis
Hayden Lindquist | Prep Redzone Scout
A standout football and baseball player who is regarded as one of the best 2028’s in the state, Lendt made a massive three-way impact on offense, defense, and special teams. As a receiver, Lendt brought down 35 receptions for 651 yards with 10 TDs. As a DB, Lendt tallied 40 total tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 FF, 4 INTs, and a defensive TD. As a kicker, he went 31/40 on XPs. As a receiver, Lendt brings a lot to the table. He’s a legit YAC threat, capable of turning a 5-yard hitch into a 40-yard TD. He’s very dangerous in open space and cooks defenders who play a loose zone against him. Lendt is very difficult to tackle in open space, and has a bunch of film where he makes them look silly en route to a TD. He’s also a tough cover in man. Lendt has a smooth release off the line and can create immediate separation from a corner, exposing them on deeper routes. On defense, Lendt is a ballhawking safety. He does a great job of reading the QB’s eyes and punishing underthrown balls by jumping the route and picking off the QB. Lendt is going to be dangerous during his junior year.

had a strong breakout season in 2025 as a WR and DB, and he also made a big presence in the return game. Lendt led all returners in the state with 260 punt return yards (17.3 YPR) and 1 punt return TD. It is crazy watching Lendt on the field; the fact that he has this much size and athleticism at his age is scary. Lendt is a player who opponents should fear greatly when the ball gets into his hands, and his presence should continue to do wonders for Springfield going forward.

Gotta show some love to the 2028s! PRZMN is bullish on the Springfield Tigers in 2025, so much so that we picked the defending runner-ups as our 2025 Class A state champion pick. Despite having to say goodbye to a talent-ridden 2025 graduating class, the Tigers are stacked in their 2027 class, but despite some heavyweight talent in the junior class, Springfield’s best prospect may be in their 2028 class. 6’3, 180 lber.

already has a lot going for him, including a couple impressive testing performances on offseason camp stops, and he’s been productive on both sides of the ball through six games, posting 20 catches for 383 yards and 5 TDs, 7 punt returns for 172 yards and 1 TD + 22 tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT, one of which was a pick-six. Heavyweight North Dakota State has taken notice, getting Lendt on campus at the end of September for an unofficial gameday, his first reported recruiting contact!
His midseason (games 1-4 tape) shows off an explosive and productive three-phase contributor, as you can also see from the stats. Lendt possesses electric YAC ability, including ankle-breaking cuts and jukes in the open field and the speed to finish big runs once he finds space, and he’s comfortable and smooth tracking and playing the deep ball. The small school wideout owns deep speed to threaten defenses vertically and take the top off the defense, as well as solid releases at the LOS in his releases, and as a DB I like his loose hips and how he’s easily able to take advantage of misthrows by opposing QBs. Nothing but big plays and exciting highlights coming out of the Springfield program these next couple of seasons.

bears the name of a football legend, and he’s already made his mark on the gridiron with an electric freshman year which has already placed him as the top athlete prospect in Minnesota for the class of 2028. Lendt caught 8 touchdowns on just 10 catches, while adding 67 tackles and 6 interceptions with 2 returned for touchdowns on defense .Lendt was an impressive ball-hawk, timing his jumps perfectly to steal the ball, and showing great vision and instincts with the ball in his hands. There was always an opportunity when Lendt got the ball that he was going to take it to the house, and that applied to him at WR as well, winning on 50-50 balls often by using his size and length to leverage against smaller DBs. Lendt is going to be a beast in Class 1A MN going forward.
