Rise: #112 to #66
Mace is coming off a fantastic sophomore season while helping Whitefish Bay made an unbelievable playoff run. A rewatch of his tape from last year was a big reason behind the rise. The dual sport standout is so explosive in space. Both with the football after the catch and while creating separation before. The way he can cut on a dime and accelerate out of breaks or jukes left plenty of DBs reaching at air. The rising 2028 WR can also simply win with his vertical speed. He is going to be a kid that defenses have to dedicate multiple guys to this season. I’m excited to see how he looks while trying to better his 2025 numbers.
Despite a 6-7 overall record Whitefish Bay had one of the state’s best runs in the playoffs. They would go from 3-6 to a Level 4 playoff team where they would lose to Reedsburg. On that path Mace had a breakout year where he put up 49 receptions for 756 yards and 10 TDs. He also added 28 tackles, 5 PBUs, and an INT on defense.
That strong finish has carried into the basketball season where WFB is currently 18-6 and 2nd in the North Shore conference. Mace has been a focal piece for the team. He is currently 3rd in scoring with 13 PPG, 3rd in rebounding with 3.9 RPG, leads the team in assists with 5.2 APG, and is 2nd with 1.9 SPG.
Mace is a very explosive weapon out wide. Despite a smaller frame the sophomore wins with his explosive ability to go attack the ball and make you miss after the catch. I’m ready for even more from the receiver this fall.
Mace put together a breakout season, leading the team in every receiving category with 49/756/10 on the year. The 2028 is a WR that can win at every level of the field. His quick twitch agility and elusiveness give him the advantage in the quick passing game and after the catch overall. That quick twitch agility and body control allow him to win with route running on intermediate routes. His long speed, ball skills, and ability to go up and attack the ball at the high point help him win deep. Mace is a fun WR to watch because of the mismatch he creates out wide. This is going to be a top athlete to watch in this Class.
Mace is having one of the best seasons at WR among all 2028s. He has piled up 43/650/9 on the season. A season that has Whitefish Bay one win away from Camp Randall after entering the postseason as an 8 seed. Mace scored twice in Level 3, including the game winner. The clutch playmaker made both of his catches, and several others throughout the season, thanks to elite ball tracking skills. His timing, catch radius, and ability to go up and get it at the high point with his explosiveness helps him win downfield so often. The 2028 WR does a great job with his route running to create separation. The underclassman already makes it look effortless getting in and out of breaks and can get back to top speed so quickly. The 2028 WR is a dangerous playmaking threat out wide that the next level will want to check out early on in the process for him.
