is looking to build on a successful junior season as the signal caller for Deerfield. In 2023, he was impressive, passing for 1,940 yards and 18 touchdowns. Jones throws an excellent deep ball, showcasing great accuracy on his downfield throws. This ability allows him to push the ball downfield and stress a defense. When things break down, Jones is rarely rattled and remains comfortable stepping up in the pocket to deliver strikes to his receivers.

The Deerfield quarterback had an opening performance for the ages. Jones accounted for over 300 total yards of offense and 5 touchdowns on his way to a 34-14 victory against DePaul Prep. What stood out most was his deep ball, as Jones threw perfectly placed balls on three passes of 30+ yards in the air. Jones threaded the needle with ease, often placing the ball directly over the outstretched arms of a DePaul Prep defensive back. Additionally, Jones was incredibly effective in the red zone and on intermediate balls while throwing on the run. The Class of 2025 signal caller burst onto the scene in this weekend’s game, throwing for more than half the total touchdowns in Friday’s game as he accounted for in his entire season a year ago.

was right on the cusp of being ranked in our loaded Top 150 and went 83-157 for 1,087 yards and 9 passing TDs in 2022 for the Warrior’s varsity. Strong arm that could stretch the field vertically, touch, velocity on shorter throws when necessary, and a quick decision maker, Jones has an overall good arm and passing game that can lead and anticipate for his WRs and keep them out of harm’s way. Also mobile and can get out and complete throws on the edge as well as take off and run when needed. Promising sophomore campaign for the young Deerfield gunslinger. Let’s see how he builds on it as a now-upperclassman!
