About Luke

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I believe I am a Dual-Threat QB. I can make all the throws with precision. My deep ball throws are my strength. I scramble in the pocket to create opportunities for my receivers but wont hesitate to take what the defense gives by running the ball. My speed, Football IQ, Vision, Leadership Mobility, Body and strength - is what makes my gameplay style unique to me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Being a Quarteback is so special to me, I love the leadership that comes with the role. I feel the pressure and it lights a fire in me. No moment is to big. 1 play at a time, and most importantly being able to learn from the last play and move on to the next without delay. I take pride in training and practice. My teammates are my family and we are in it together regardless of the outcome.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently on the Cranford middle school baseball and basketball teams. I am also on Iron 9 Club baseball team 14U. Other hobbies of mine are Hunting, Fishing, rooting for my favorite sports teams and supporting my friends and the teams they play on. I work for my dads construction buisiness when I have time.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership is something a I focus on all the time. I feel I can help control the flow of the games were in if we stay together and stick to our assignments. I try to create a family in all my teams and everyone fights for eachother. No one is more important than the team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I see competition as a challenge. I work hard to be better than my opponent. Go to the gym early and often. Stay late after practice, Listen to my teammates. Most of all - be a good person.

What type of college are you looking for?

Looking for a college degree and play football with the best of the best. I want to beat the best.

Unless I’m mistaken, which is totally possible given the All-Star Game format, Cranford’s Luke Sawicki Luke Sawicki Luke Sawicki 5'11" | 145 lbs | QB/DB Cranford (Youth Program) | 2029 NJ didn’t get his turn at Quarterback until the fourth quarter–but he made the most of his time. Despite starting at Safety for the South Team, the Union County prospect came out guns blazing at Quarterback and connected on 3-of-8 passes and a TD pass in the forth quarter. Of the five passes that weren’t completed, two of which should have been caught. On top of his passing ability, he also used his legs on a couple plays and drew a roughing the pass penalty on a 4th down play. Sawicki connected with Joey Riccio Joey Riccio Joey Riccio RB Cranford (Youth Program) | 2029 NJ on the very next play, recording the only TD pass in the NJSFYL 8th Grade All-Star Game for the South Team.
