Luke is an offensive lineman whose frame and length immediately stand out and change how defenses have to approach him. At the snap he shows good awareness and a calm presence, allowing him to get into position and use his reach to his advantage. When he is locked in, he can control defenders at the line of scrimmage and keep them from getting into his body, which is a major advantage in both phases of the game.
In the run game he shows the ability to stay engaged and work through contact, using his size to wall off defenders and create clear running lanes. His impact becomes even more noticeable when he maintains proper leverage, as he can turn long reps into wins simply by sustaining blocks. In pass protection he continues to develop, but he shows flashes of being able to anchor and redirect rushers when his footwork is clean and controlled.
