How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay approach on DL is to flip the situation and put myself on offense by using my length and an athletic get-off to make the OL feel like he is on defense. I use sudden hands and unexpected footwork at the point of attack, and then find the football to finish the play.
On OL I focus on technique, balance and understanding the play. Stay low and create movement off the ball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My mindset is more calm and measured than most, both in the classroom and on the field. The key is I earn that calm because I prepare all week and in the off season for games, and I am confident in my preparation in sports and school.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I serve on two Junior Boards in the healthcare sector of my community. Hinsdale Hospital Junior Board is a program that empowers teens to grow leadership skills while serving their community through service projects and hospital volunteerism. Mend a Heart Junior Board supports children with congenital heart defects and medical practitioners who advance congenital heart defect research.
