Bakken is probably one of the most underrated kids on this list and deserves some attention with the way he balled out this year. He put up some monster stats and with his skill set he is a player that could make a major impact for whoever signs him. He is able to make the first defender miss and has the speed to turn it into a foot race when he gets to the second level, bouncing it to the outside and pick up big chunk yardage. He can also be a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield and be explosive as a receiver as well. This kid needs to be on the radar and just to emphasize again, he would be a steal for whoever signs him!

Read EvaluationMatt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Bakken had a very impressive performance. The linebacker ended with 18 total tackles, 17 solo and 1 assisted. Luke has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Bakken used good mental processing to identify the play and stop the ball carrier in their tracks. He has good mental processing and was consistently watching the QB’s eyes leading him to a tackle. Bakken was a brute force in the middle, and looks to continue being that dominating presence throughout the season.

Bakken has great vision and is able to shoot the gap quickly and is able to meet the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage. He is a hard hitting backer that makes receivers pay for coming across the middle. He has the ability to drop back into coverage and make a play on the ball or dislodge it from receivers. He has a high motor and a knack for being around the ball. He will be a player that you will need to know moving forward.
