As a wide receiver, he is also talented and is hard for most defenders to guard one-on-one. Stanford is getting a good athlete who could develop into a nice player for them.

Shanafelt is a guy with a relentless motor and great athleticism pairing for a great combo. Shanafelt is someone who also plays WR and makes a handful of plays on that side of the ball. I expect yet another great year out of Shanafelt.

His size allows him to line up in the 4i all the way out to the 9T. He’s a good athlete with good power. Shanafelt is a well-rounded rusher who has a high floor and a solid athletic ceiling.

He was used as a defensive lineman with his hand down, a stand-up edge defender, and an off-the-ball linebacker. At all 3 positions, his ability to make plays against the offense is impressive. As a defensive lineman, he is hard to run the ball on. He cannot be moved off his spot as he is too strong. As an edge defender, he is that elite athlete who attacks and makes so many plays in the offensive backfield. Finally, as an off-ball linebacker, he can cover well in the open field. He also played wide receiver, and he flashed good skills there as well. Shanafelt’s recruitment has picked up recently, and I expect he will be playing at a Division One College in the future.
