About Lucas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart athletic OT with good footwork that plays to the whistle. Relentless pass rusher with good technique and high motor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Competing in sports taught me tenacity. Learning the ability to fail & learn from the setback & move forward is a vital life skill. I learned that failure is not the end, but part of the learning experience has far-reaching implications, affecting our self-esteem, our resilience, and our mental agility. These skills are vital for success as we grow into adults to survive & thrive life’s challenges

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Honor Roll Freshman and Sophomore Year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a quiet leader that lets my play on the field be an example for my teammates to follow. I don't complain to coaches or teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had a slap-tear on my rotator cuff my freshman year during wrestling season. I had surgery Feb 2 and had to work my way back to football shape by August 1 my sophomore year. I wasn't able to lift weights heavily until mid-July. I did PT 4 times a week and listened to my doctors and had zero setbacks and started at Right Tackle on the Varsity team for Class A Norfolk Senior High School.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong program in science and possibly engineering.
