Cascade running back Lucas Farmer Lucas Farmer 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Cascade | 2027 State IN was a key player on both sides of the ball. He flashes great open-field balance in space and is hard to bring down. On defense, he flashes a great motor and pursuit angles, chasing down ballcarriers who break through Cascade’s stout defensive front. High effort prospect.

Farmer came out right away and made an impact for the defensive unit. He started Week 1 and never looked back. Like every young recruit there is going to be some learning curves but he’s handled everything well to this point. He’s working on his frame and while he’s still a bit undersized, he’s physical and can lay out big hits. He tracks the ball well and doesn’t over pursue. He isn’t the most explosive athlete on the field but he’s smart and knows his role. 87 tackles and 2 sacks as a freshman is a good start, but it’s also the way you look when you’re out there that matters. Farmer looks like he belongs and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
