Lucas was a no-brainer addition to the 2025 rankings. When you’re 6’7″, your perceived ceiling is much higher and D1s will jump on you quick. Last season, Lucas put up some solid tape. His most impressive trait is his ability to MOVE people on the line of scrimmage. If he’s able to earn leverage and get his hands on you, it’s practically over. Though, I will say that Lucas’s footwork was incredibly inconsistent. I don’t see a ton of fundamental prowess, but I do see someone who’s worked extremely hard this offseason and has undoubtably improved as a result. Again, an obvious addition, and yet another prospect in Miami’s STACKED recruiting class.
