is an awesome athlete in the 2027 class. He should be nicknamed Mr. Everything. He does everything on the football field as an athlete. He decided to shut down his recruitment, and he committed to Wake Forest. This is awesome for him as he gets to play in the ACC.
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me throughout my recruiting process. From coaches and teammates to family and friends, your guidance, encouragement, and belief in me have meant more than I can put into words. After a lot of thought and… pic.twitter.com/CL94JYQlmS

is a special athlete who can score anytime he touches the ball. Last year, he played as a running back and a wildcat quarterback. His ability to hit the hole with his speed is excellent. He looks like he is shot out of a cannon with the ability to hit a hole. Then, when he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. He is also a physical running back who runs through contact at a high level. Then, on defense, he is an outstanding safety. His closing speed is one of the best I have seen from safeties. His ability to see the ball carriers close on them and tackle them in the open field is one of the best I have seen in the 2027 class. Steele is a weapon on both sides of the ball.

‘s two-way prowess. The rep at 00:49 gives you a gist of the type of athlete we are dealing with here. Steele takes a direct snap, bounces an inside run laterally, hard enough to make two defenders in position to whiff. Steele would hit a second gear and outrun a couple more DBs for a 40+ score via direct snap. The rest of Steele’s tape showcases why I think he’s one of the best pure athletes in this class. Snaps at QB, an occasional throw to be had. Steele won’t be playing QB at the next level of course, yet it means something if Shamokin staff trust him enough to handle snaps. Where Steele shines brightest is at DB. A comfortable safety in two or single high sets. Great IQ and awareness let Steele roam free, free to press and close passing lanes in a hurry, free to range to his half of the field to make plays on the football. Fantastic brain under this kid’s helmet, you can see what he’s thinking based on how he attacks two-man passing concepts to his side of the field. A tackler who is authoritative beyond his build. Happy to see him elevate his stock further and further up our ranks.

Playmaking Ability
Will provide a deeper eval at a later time. Love how this young man’s tape is constructed. First rep showcases Steele’s ability to play in single-high sets at safety, shows off some ball-tracking skills too. Next, you see Steele align at QB, taking the snap and running for 30+ yards after improvising behind the LOS. Next rep, witness Steele taking a sweep-motion handoff for a score. Talk about a weapon, playing varsity ball too. I can’t go without detailing his efforts as a punt/kick returner either. Steele has his hands on the football a ton, a three-way player whose efforts have already caught my attention this early into his career.
