Playing fullback behind his quarterback, he was outstanding last week. He shows good strength and speed. His burst was especially impressive. Once he reaches the 2nd level, he has the moves and speed to make defenders miss. Then, on defense, he played great. Against Muhlenberg, he made several tackles, especially in the open field. On one play, Muhlenberg ran a wide receiver screen, and he made a great open-field tackle. On both sides of the ball, both Hornings are legit. Two Horning twins for the price of one.

Playing in their veer offense as the fullback, Horning has had a strong season for Cocalico. This week’s game, he played extremely well as he rushed for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. What separates him from most fullbacks is that he has legitimate speed. He can score anytime he touches the ball. His ability to hit the hole and explode past defenders is excellent. He is having a strong season for Cocalico and deserves a helmet sticker for his performance.
