Dawson transfers his weight well on his throws, even stepping up and into the deeper ones. Should he need to break the pocket and run around a bit, Dawson works to get his shoulders back perpendicular to deliver good throws. He also takes advantage of his receivers’ catch radius, using all their size, length, and flexibility to his advantage. The art of the quarterback is something Dawson seems to adopt as well, as evidenced by him looking off defenders through his progression. Better than any other quarterback I watched this go-round, Dawson showcased good arm strength over the middle and touch on deeper wheel routes and mismatches against linebackers. Dawson also does a nice job of baiting defenders up when he breaks the pocket.
