Abrams is a TANK at 6’3″ 230 pounds. In an old school game he would have been a tremendous fullback, but with those not in much demand anymore we see him as a linebacker at the next level. Super physical and gets off blocks extremely well. Physical at point of attack taking on blocks and getting off them. Wraps up down low when bringing down his man. Tough as nails.

‘ film will immediately appreciate his playing style. He brings a level of toughness and physicality that coaches covet, making him an asset to any roster. Abrams is the definition of a throwback player—one who thrives on contact, plays with relentless effort, and embraces the physical demands of the game. As the fullback in his current triple-option offense, Abrams has developed into a hard-nosed runner and an elite blocker, consistently clearing the way for his teammates. His skill set, however, extends beyond his current role. With his combination of strength, football IQ, and willingness to do the dirty work, he projects as a highly productive tight end at the next level.

Any teams implementing a FB in their offense need to make themselves well aware of the 6’3″ 220 lbs sophomore out of Cary-Grove. Logan is an absolute animal as a runner from the FB position. He is a north-south runner who thrives on contact. Logan plays behind his pads and is the one who delivers contact. His contact balance is exceptional for his size and age. The power he plays with allows him to move the pile, run through arm or shoulder tackles, and his play style sets the tone in the trenches. Once he gets into the open field Logan has enough speed to create the big plays. Check out the tape.

Cary-Grove had the upset of the day taking down East St Louis 23-20 to take home the 6A championship. The Trojans did a great job running the ball to grind out the clock, limiting East St Louis’s offensive opportunities.

The 6’3, 220 back from Cary Grove has the Trojans rolling to state once again. Abrams, who has averaged 117.3 rushing yards per game this season and scored 19 times, has been difficult to stop all season. Since he is only a sophomore, it’s hard to believe that Abrams moves as well as he does, especially considering his massive frame. He did it again against Lake Zurich on Saturday, as Abrams rushed for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns. Long story short, he was incredibly difficult to tackle. Plan for Abrams to bring his physical running style to the state championship on Saturday as Cary Grove takes on East St. Louis in the 6A title game.

The Cary-Grove sophomore running back had himself another big night in a shootout victory over Crystal Lake South. Abrams rushed for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns. He primarily plays fullback for the Trojans. This is a position that many before him have made a name for themselves in Cary-Grove’s notorious triple option offense and have gone on to earn an opportunity to play at the next level. Abrams surely fits this mold, as he runs with low pad level and physicality and can accelerate through the open lane in the blink of an eye. By the end of this season, Abrams will be on his way to being one of the top backs in the state for the Class of 2026.

Cary-Grove is no stranger to pounding the ball and that is exactly what they did on Friday night. Taking down Crystal Lake South 47-21 and controlling majority of the game with their ground attack.

has a bright future ahead of him and is already bigger than his older brother, a fact I’m sure does not sit comfortably with Wade! Logan makes his debut as the 14th-ranked overall 2026 Illinois prospect and the #2 defensive lineman and brings a useful wrestling background to the table as a DL, TE, FB, and LS for Cary-Grove. As a varsity contributor last fall as a freshman, Abrams shows off length and a frame that can easily hold significantly more good weight and muscle, as well as a heavy punch that can freeze blockers when he makes contact and extends. He can get skinny to slip through combo attempts between the tackles and has a noticeable, nonstop motor, and pursuit speed that allows him to track the ball down all over the field. He’s a still bit raw technique-wise and will benefit from a year in the Trojan’s weight room, but the physical and mental tools are present and flash impressively in his limited freshman tape. The Abrams boys can ball!
