Expert Analysis
Chris Smith | Prep Redzone Scout
Recently committed to MTSU, Kennedy is a top playmaker on this team that has made game changing plays throughout the 2024 season and it will need to continue in this D2-Class AA championship game. Catching passes on offense will be important in this contest but Kennedy playing on the back end at safety will be of even more importance.

Kennedy wasn’t inside our initial rankings due to his involvement down at IMG Academy but this native Tennessean moved back home for his senior season and it’s been a breakout year for Wildcats safety. Sporting great size and length, Kennedy looks the part of a college guy and has played like one this Fall. Where the Cats senior defender has developed further is with his speed and overall football knowledge. The range Kennedy shows on film is outstanding but his play recognition has increased a ton as well. The physical traits this Mid-TN product brings to the field warrants an early look in college where Kennedy could see the field sooner than later.

, a defensive back at Battle Ground Academy. Kennedy makes a considerable difference on both sides of the ball, proving he can get wide open for the short pass and shut down passing down the stretch on the other side. Kennedy’s ability to haul in the short pass, blast through defenders and punch into the endzone for the touchdown also stands out.

, a defensive back at Battle Ground Academy. Kennedy stands out on both sides of the football, proving he can haul in the deep pass and be disruptive on the other side. I like Kennedy’s versatility and ability to attack the ball in the air. On the defensive side, Kennedy makes good use of his wingspan to wrap up receivers and swat the deep pass to the ground. Kennedy will definitely be a player to watch this Thursday.
