About Lincoln
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My game is physical, high-effort, and disciplined. I play with a lot of intensity and try to be aggressive at the point of attack, but also stay under control and do my job every snap. I take pride in being tough in the trenches, using my length, and playing through the whistle. I’m always working to improve my technique and football IQ.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m gritty and disciplined, but also just really competitive. I hate losing and I try to bring that mindset every day in practice and the weight room, not just on game day. I’m team first and just want to do whatever helps us win. I work hard, listen to my coaches, and try to get better every day.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I run my own small business, which has taught me a lot about responsibility and time management. I’m in a leadership role in my youth group at church, and I also work with the team at Train Better USA where I help coach younger kids in the weight room and talk to them about discipline and doing things the right way. I’ve also made the Dean’s List for academics.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. In football and the weight room, I try to lead by example, push my teammates, and stay accountable. I love pushing others to do their best and reach their full potential. Outside of football, I’ve built discipline and a leader-servant mindset by helping people in my community with whatever they need (pulling weeds, moving, and more).
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, I faced challenges off the field when my dad was diagnosed with cancer (recovered now). During that time, I had to step up more at home and help my mom and younger siblings. It taught me a lot about responsibility, staying strong for others, and keeping a positive mindset even when things are hard. It helped me grow up fast and made me disciplined and focused both in life and in football.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level and be part of a strong brotherhood. I want teammates who work hard and have each other’s backs, and coaches who will push me and help me grow. I also want a good academic program and a campus where I can build real relationships and be part of the community.
