Cocchiglia is an aggressive blocker with a great foundational skillset for the college level that combines his size, strength, and agility for the OL. At 6’5” 290 lbs. he played on the interior at OG for Los Gatos but his frame and movement skillsets could transition to OT if needed. Brings good power to the line with the ability to create movement at the LOS with a heavy initial strike and forceful contact. Shows he can work to the second with good bend and foot speed. Like that he can get out in front as a puller or get to the perimeter in time. At the POA, he’s under control and balanced through contact. He keeps his feet underneath his body and uses his hands well to sustain throughout the play. Committed to Cal Poly over offers from Eastern Washington and Idaho.
