One of the best and most accomplished returning defenders in the former Minneapolis City Conference going into the fall, Minneapolis Patrick Henry’s 6’3, 215 lb. defensive end Leevy Barron posted 48 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, a PBU, and half a sack last fall and earned District DL POY honors for his efforts. Good get-off and first step, can tackle and make plays in space when given the opportunity, and can dominate smaller and/or weaker opponents in the trenches. I want to see that production go up as a senior, and if he can add some more weight he’s going to be very hard to handle for the Patriot’s competition next fall.
