Grier has quickly established himself as a legitimate college prospect at boundary corner, where his physicality, length, and ability to compete on the outside really stand out. His rise hasn’t gone unnoticed either—ECU took notice and pulled the trigger with an offer, adding even more momentum to a rapidly rising recruitment. Grier’s stock has exploded this offseason, and if he carries that momentum into the fall, he could be in line for another major jump.

Grier is a more recent evaluation for us, a guy whose name we knew but didn’t start tracking as a true college prospect until an outstanding performance at the Carolinas Coaches’ Combine. There, he ran a laser-timed 4.44 40, had a 29-inch standing vertical, and a 10-foot-4 broad jump. That athleticism translates to the field, where he’s a smaller safety who isn’t afraid to hit. He gets downhill in a hurry, and given his athletic profile, the ball production should come in time.
