A big part of Nicholas County’s Week 1 win over AAAA Riverside came from the play of 2027 ATH Landon Keenan Landon Keenan 6'2" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Nicholas County | 2027 WV , who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns while picking off two passes on defense. The Grizzlies showed a different look offensively, getting Keenan a lot of direct snaps in heavy packages and putting an emphasis on the ground game. Keenan took advantage of his size and speed, running hard and helping Nicholas County grind out a tough opening win over the Warriors.

A bigger senior season could be on the horizon for 2027 WR/DB Landon Keenan. Keenan put together a productive junior campaign, but there’s still another level he can reach if Nicholas County finds consistency at quarterback to get him the ball more. He gives the Grizzlies a long, athletic target on the outside with the speed to get behind defenders and the size to win contested catches down the field. If the passing game takes a step forward this fall, Keenan has all the tools to emerge as one of the breakout receivers in the region.
