Kymarri’s ability to stop to get in and out of breaks abruptly is remarkable; coupled with his speed, he becomes a wide receiver capable of wearing down any secondary. With the ball in his hands, it often requires multiple defenders to take him down, as his balance and sturdy build fend off tackles, demonstrating his potential for yards after the catch. Kymarri possesses all the qualities of a future starter for a Power Four program.

Standing at 6’0″, Kymarri’s most notable attribute is his athleticism which allows him to get yards after a catch. He will use his footwork to break down a defender or he will run the defender over with his 170-pound body. Kymarri’s ability to stop on a dime is so impressive; then you match that with his speed, and you now have a wide receiver that is going to exhaust your secondary. When Smith has the ball in his hand, it takes multiple people to bring him down, as his balance and compact frame, repels tackles. Kymarri’s talent will take him as far as he wants to go in football as he is a future superstar.

Smith is one of the most dynamic athletes in Ontario and shows on tape that he can play multiple offensive positions. Smith has good speed but his twitch and ability to evade tacklers make quick shortcuts upfield. With the ball in his hands, Smith shows really good balance, he can be knocked off his path or twisted and turned by defenders but he always moves his feet and stays up. Smith shows returner ability and can make plays with the ball in space. Smith also shows the ability to block in space, he does not show a violent punch or knock back but he is a good form blocker who will bring guys to the ground with high effort. Smith also plays defense and excels as a defensive back with his burst, speed, and willingness to tackle.

We were certainly treated to some great backs during this Catholic board Championship. On the other side of the ball for the Cardinals saw 2025 top five Nationally ranked RB Kymarri Smith Kymarri Smith 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Cardinal Newman | 2025 State CAD featured also. Newman had a tough time most of the game against a stout Titans defense but the one bright spot the Cardinals had was Smith. Smith a true next level back at 5’11, 180-pounds plays the game with absolute finesse and precision. A highly calculated back who reads the field with elite vision, is the only way to describe him. Smith is a do it all back as well, you can line him up out of the slot which Newman often did to give him a jet reverse as well as they even lined him up at the wideout at one point to hit him on a deep fly route. Again it was tough for Newman to generate anything on Friday but Smith managed to put together a nice little day falling shy of 100 yards. There was a lot to like about Smith as he shined for the Cardinals roster. He will be expected to follow suit in tomorrows matchup in the GHAC semi finals when they take on the No.4 ranked Corpus Christi Longhorns.
