Last Friday, Johnson picked up another big offer, this time from Ole Miss!

I think we’re only going to keep seeing high-level schools reaching out to Johnson. Last season, he proved he’s one of the top-tier recruits in the 2028 cycle, and I think the sky’s the limit with his potential.

Johnson brings legitimate impact on both sides of the ball. At corner, he plays with receiver-like ball skills — elite at high-pointing and turning 50/50 balls into controlled wins. His tracking ability, catch radius, vertical explosiveness, and closing speed make him a true turnover threat who can stay in phase on vertical routes and finish at the catch point.

At running back, he’s dynamic in space. His lateral quickness and stacked-move ability allow him to create on his own, while his acceleration through gaps and vision expose cutback lanes. He’s a natural pass catcher out of the backfield with instant transition after the catch, making him one of the best two-way weapons in the state.

Johnson was a massive reason why Coosa Christian went to and won the state championship this past season, and has picked up steam on the recruiting trail since. We all need to watch out for him going into next year; he has a huge year ahead.

Johnson is a versatile player who still has time to settle into a specific spot on the field, but for the sake of this write-up, I’ll project him long-term as an RB. He is a lean, loose player with a lot of space to bulk up. He is a slippery player with the short area quickness and COD to generate fly-by missed tackles and create his own yards. His long strides help him lift off in space, but his ability to maneuver around obstacles in space is what sets him apart.
